What makes our workshops special?
Every 12-week workshop in our series combines academics, creativity, leadership, and family involvement through immersive experiences that help children discover who they are while connecting learning to the world around them.
How Learning Works
Every DKS week follows the same intentional learning rhythm.
By revisiting this three-day cycle each week, students develop confidence, build deeper understanding, and learn how to move from curiosity to action. The weekly theme changes, but the learning journey remains consistent: Dream. Know. Solve.

Tuesday - Dream
Imagine • Explore • Discover
Every great idea begins with curiosity. Tuesdays introduce the week's theme through stories, discussions, hands-on exploration, and meaningful questions. Students investigate new concepts, make connections, and begin imagining possibilities while building the background knowledge they'll use throughout the week.
Parents can expect: Curiosity-driven activities, guided exploration, collaborative discussions, and the introduction of the week's learning mission.
Wednesday - Know
Investigate • Build • Apply
Wednesdays are dedicated to deepening understanding through active learning. Students investigate ideas, practice new skills, collaborate with peers, and build projects that connect academic concepts to real-world experiences. This is where learning becomes tangible.
Parents can expect: Project-based learning, skill development, teamwork, creative problem-solving, and meaningful academic application.
Thursday - Solve
Create • Present • Reflect
Thursdays bring the week's learning together. Students complete their projects, share their discoveries, reflect on their growth, and demonstrate what they've learned through presentations, discussions, or creative showcases. Every Thursday celebrates progress while preparing students for the next adventure.
Parents can expect: Student presentations, completed projects, thoughtful reflection, portfolio-worthy work, and opportunities for Passport progress and recognition.
The Academic Spine:
Every DKS experience is supported by an invisible academic spine that quietly ensures students build essential grade-level skills in literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, critical thinking, and communication.
Families experience engaging projects, expeditions, and missions, while the academic foundation is embedded throughout the workbook, reinforced in the Companion App, and extended through parent-guided conversations and activities at home. The result is learning that is both academically sound and deeply meaningful.
Upcoming Workshop:
Every DKS workshop in our series is built around an immersive theme that connects learning to the real world.
